ChristmasGuide is designed to collect as little as possible. There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no server-side storage of anything you type, draw, or upload on this site.
What stays in your browser
- Secret Santa names and exclusions exist only in the current browser tab. Closing the tab clears them. They are never sent anywhere.
- Photos added to the Card Maker are read locally in your browser to draw the card preview and the downloaded WebP image. They are never uploaded.
- Card messages, names and occasions are used only to draw your card on your own device.
- Your timezone choice on the countdown page is used only to calculate the countdown shown to you, in that same visit.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking scripts. If that changes, this policy will be updated first, and the change will be dated above.
Third-party services
The site’s typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google’s servers when a page loads, as it does on most websites. No other third-party content is loaded: the Santa Tracker map is drawn into the page itself, and no external map tiles are requested. Outbound links — for example, to a film or reference source mentioned in a blog post — are clearly links to other sites, and those sites have their own privacy policies.
Children’s privacy
The tools and colouring pages are suitable for families, and the site knowingly collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Because nothing is uploaded, there is nothing to delete — but if you believe any information has reached us in error, contact us through the Contact Us page and it will be removed.
Contact messages
If you choose to send a message using the contact form, the message is composed in your browser and sent from your own email app. What you send is used only to read and answer your message, and is not shared with anyone else or used for marketing.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new “last updated” date. The current version always applies to your use of the site from the date it is posted.
